SVRFC Email Notice: 08/22/08. Recruiting Materials Guys,

We all probably know a lot of people who fit the mold of a rugby player -- athletic, complete disregard for his own safety, kinda kooky. Identify one of these people, get him to come out, and you get a free t-shirt. An awesome one.

Just last season I brought out eleven guys, not the least of whom was a certain Tugboat Slater. I defy any of you to beat that record.

This is not a message all of you as a group. This is a challenge to each of you individually. This is not the sort of thing where the other 29 guys are going to take care of it for you. It is up to you. You've got the resources and the incentive to do this -- failing at this point is pure laziness.

Some of you may be saying to yourselves, "But I'm worried about someone new taking my spot." Well then just have fat guys recruit a skinny guy, and skinny guys recruit a fat guy. That way nobody loses their spot. Problem solved.
