FORMAN Robert Taylor Forman, 87, of Columbus, Oh., died on Tuesday evening, April 7, 2009, following a long illness. Born September 11, 1921 in Columbus, Oh., he was the son of Henry Forman and Sallie (Taylor) Forman.
Robert was a graduate of North High School, Antioch University, Union Seminary and The Ohio State University Law School. During his life, Robert worked as a lawyer, pastor, and real estate investor, and remained an avid athlete well into his eighties. He served as a Navy Diver in the Pacific Theatre during the Second World War.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia R. Forman; his brother, Charles W. Forman, New Haven, Conn.; and three children, Edward (Kathleen) R. Forman, Columbus, Oh., Mary W. Forman, Atlanta, Ga. and Charles W. Forman, Columbus, Oh.; one nephew and two nieces. He will be sadly missed by his many family members and friends.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. on April 9, 2009 at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High Street, Worthington, Oh. Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Summit United Methodist Church, 82 E. 16th Ave., Columbus, Oh. Rev. Linda Wallek officiating.
